TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Central girls basketball team dominated the Big North Conference this season.
The Trojans (16-4, 10-0 Big North) captured the BNC title several weeks ago, but Friday night’s 53-38 win over Alpena put the cherry on top with a perfect record in the Big North.
The Trojans join the 2019-20 Cadillac Vikings as the last team in the Big North to finish conference play undefeated.
“Thrilled with the way this conference season ended,” Central head coach Jen Dutmers said.
Junior Lucia France led things for the Trojans with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and sophomore Lorelai Zielinski racked up 18 points with 12 boards. Junior Jakiah Brumfield finished with three points and 10 assists.
The Trojans host Muskegon on Thursday to wrap up the regular season.
