The Buffalo Bills announced three new additions to the coaching staff Wednesday, including the man who will be working most often with Josh Allen.
Ronald Curry was named quarterbacks coach after spending the last three seasons coaching quarterbacks for the New Orleans Saints. Curry was also elevated to passing game coordinator after being on staff in New Orleans since 2016, also working as a wide receivers coach for three seasons.
Curry was on the staff with current Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady in 2017 and 2018 and played six NFL seasons with the Raiders as a receiver. Curry was once considered among the top recruits in the country in football and basketball.
He played two seasons of basketball at the University of North Carolina as a point guard before focusing solely on football. As a college quarterback, Curry left as the school’s all-time leading passer with 4,987 yards.
Additionally, the Bills added Jahmile Addae as the cornerbacks coach, leaving the University of Miami, where he coached the secondary for the last two seasons. The 39-year-old has coached exclusively in college since 2007, with stops at Arizona, Cincinnati, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota and West Virginia.
Christian Taylor has also been hired as a defensive quality control coach after 16 years coaching college football at Illinois Wesleyan, Michigan, San Diego, San Diego State, and most recently as the offensive coordinator at his alma mater, William and Mary. Brady and Bills head coach Sean McDermott also attended William and Mary.
