Niagara Hospice’s 2024 Spring Bouquet Sale will take place March 11 through March 16. Local businesses are being enlisted now to serve as sale locations and volunteers are needed to assist the sale.
“We are excited to bring a little bit of spring to Niagara County, while also getting the community involved to raise awareness about Niagara Hospice,” said Allison Bolt, special events coordinator.
Standard bouquets sell for $10 each and a special “Memories in Bloom” 30-stem bouquet sells for $30. There is no cost to any organization to participate. Many businesses participate as pre-sale locations, where their staff can purchase bouquets in advance to be delivered on-site during the week of March 11. Other businesses participate as walk up sale locations and sell bouquets to customers on one or more chosen days during the week. Interested businesses can sign up at NiagaraHospice.org/springbouquet.
Volunteers are needed to assist various facets of the sale, from preparing materials, to selling at community walk up locations, to making the bouquet deliveries to businesses, schools and churches. Anyone who’s interested in volunteering for a couple of hours, one day during the sale or more, should call Bolt at 716-280-0766 for more information.
Bolt said the 2023 Spring Bouquet Sale was the most successful one to date, raising more than $39,000.
