MANKATO — Minnesota State University’s Alumni Association will present distinguished alumni awards to four graduates Jan. 27.
The event is not open to the public. The honorees also will be recognized at that evening’s men’s hockey game against Northern Michigan at Mayo Clinic Health System Events Center.
Honorees are:
• Craig Lloyd, of Sioux Falls, a 1972 graduate who serves as chairman of the board for Lloyd Cos. The regional enterprise specializing in full-service development, real estate, construction, property management and hospitality.
Lloyd will receive the Achievement Award, which is presented to graduates who have achieved high rank or honor in their professions, had widespread effect on their communities and are recognized for their achievements over the course of their careers.
• Akram Osman, Mankato East High School principal, who has earned four undergraduate and graduate degrees from MSU.
Osman will receive the Outstanding Young Alumni Award, which honors graduates who have reached personal and/or professional achievements early in their careers, positively impacted their communities and show promise for continued success.
• Ann and Randy Reichert, of Circle Pines. Ann worked as an accountant and office manager during her career, while Randy retired after almost 40 years of mortgage banking.
The Reicherts will receive the Harold J. Fitterer Service Award, which is awarded to alumni who have provided exceptional service to MSU, their communities and the world through their time, talent and treasure.
