GLOUCESTER — Senior forward Brett Cunningham’s second goal of the evening, in which he went end-to-end, was the game-winner in overtime as the Gloucester boys hockey team bested Barrington, R.I., 4-3, in the Cape Ann Savings Bank championship game at Talbot Rink late Wednesday night.
Cunningham was named to the All-Tournament Team after finishing with two goals and two assists in the final.
Linemate Colby Jewell, a fellow senior and the Tournament MVP, had a goal and an assist Wednesday night after scoring a hat trick in Gloucester’s 4-3 tourney opening win over Medford.
Senior forward Jackson Hawes also scored for the Fishermen (4-1), with Joe Orlando, James Sanfilippo and Will Lowthers also earning assists. Senior Riley De Haan earned the victory in net.
