Santa Claus returned to Newburyport, albeit early, as the guest of honor Friday during the Newburyport Fire Department’s 51st annual Santa Parade. After wending and weaving his way along many city streets, Santa disembarked for a few minutes to greet those waiting for him in Market Square.
