Multiple fire crews turned out to fight a house fire in the town of Cambria Monday evening.
Niagara County Emergency Communications Center received several calls reporting a possible fire coming from an attached garage at 5838 Shawnee Road that had also spread to a pickup truck and RV in the driveway.
Upon arrival at the scene, responding crews observed the garage, pickup truck and RV were fully involved and the fire had spread into the house, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
Firefighters from Bergholz, Sanborn, Pekin, Shawnee and Cambria companies as well as the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station worked inside and outside of the home to extinguish the blaze.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital with a possible ankle injury, the sheriff’s office said.
American Red Cross was brought in to assist the occupants of the house.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit.
